Airport Rail Link is the most common means of transport from BKK to Bangkok city. You can find the terminal at the Basement B level. The service is available daily between 6 am and midnight at 15-minute intervals. Fares depend on the distance. For example, if you travel to Makkasan Station, where you can take the MRT connection, the price is 35 Baht. But, if you head to Phaya Thai Station, where the BTS connection is available, the total price is 45 Baht. The duration of the journey between the first and the final destination (Phaya Thai) is 30 minutes.
There is also a convenient Airport Bus shuttle operating between Suvarnabhumi Airport and the downtown (Khao San Road). The bus runs from 6 am to 8 pm and the full price ticket is 60 Baht.
If using public transportation is not your preferred method for moving around, you should consider Blacklane service (Use the voucher code M68JVJX3 to save 20% on your first ride booking). Uber is no longer operating in Bangkok, but there is Grab, which is the local provider of transportation services similar to Uber. The transfer fare from the airport to the city starts from about 350 Baht.
Bangkok has a great selection of luxury hotels. Our current favorites are St. Regis Bangkok, InterContinental and Conrad Bangkok - reviews of these three hotels are coming shortly. We have also visited (and reviewed) a few other good options: JW Marriott Bangkok, Marriott Sukhumvit and Millennium Hilton.
